Dear Competitors, Parents, Caretakers,Teachers, This years Young Paraders event at the Australian Alpaca Spectacular will be held on Saturday 25 August (8am - 4pm) and will be showcased next to the main arena.The event will also be live streamed via the world wide web. Due to our time allocation and restrictions we unfortunately have to limit entry numbers to 18-20 competitors.These competitors will be entered from the 3 active states, ie: NSW, Vic & Qld along with some possible wildcards from WA, SA & Tas. Competitors will comprise of 4 open entrants and 2 preliminary entrants from each state.Should a state be unable to send enough appropriately suited competitors, the allocation may be given to another state to fill. We would like to call for yourexpressions of interest to attend and represent your state.Expressions of interest (form attached)are to be sent to your AYE state representative who will in turn forward them to Louise Lazarus.The state rep will liaise with the paraders judges and supervisors for the selection.The selection process will be based on callibration of show results and assessment of other achievements throughout the year, including behaviour, awards, external assistance to farms, further learning etc. It is imperative that we have a well rounded competition covering as many age groups as possible with competency and experience. These modifications and nominations process is for this year only.Future National event qualification processes are currently being worked on and will be advised as soon as possible for 2019. Lets put on a show to the world that theAustralian Alpaca Association and you our Young members WILL be proud of. Parader animals and competitors are to be in the marshalling area with ample time for a continuous flow through the ring.Parader classes will NOT be stopped or altered waiting for Halter classes or Halter entries to be used for competition.

Dress code: Dress code for the show needs to be professional with Stockmanship aspired by Australian stockman.
Shirts: Club shirts, Agric Show Shirt or State shirts only. All shirts must be collared and long sleeve. Footwear:Cowboy boots to be worn inside of pants, not worn ext. Black or Brown polished boots Hats:Hats are to be Australian country ie Akubra type. (sponsorship is being sort to provide hats for youthcompetitors, but too early to say at the moment) Pants:Showmanship - Black pants only Stockmanship - Moleskins, Black pants or Tidy jeans. Belts:Belts and buckles to be plain.No Bling. Jewellery:Jewellery is to be kept basic.ie plain studs in ears. Entry Fees:AAA Member:$20.00 Non Member:$25.00
