The 2018 Australian Alpaca Spectacular Product Competition & Showcase
The Champion Exhibit has been awarded to #19 'Hare and Tortoise' by Angela Smith. Angela will receive a $100 voucher for fibre processing which has been donated by the Great Ocean Road Woollen Mill. The Reserve Champion Exhibit has been awarded to #3 by Ash Herring. Ash will receive a $75 credit for the Australian Alpaca Yarn / Alpaca Ultimate on-line shop which has been donated by Australian Alpaca Yarn / Alpaca Ultimate. The People's Choice Award has been won by #19 'Hare and Tortoise' by Angela Smith. Angela will receive a beautiful hand made scarf valued at $75 by Fibre Naturally. The People's Choice Runner Up has been awarded to #16 by Trish O'Connor. Trish will receive a $50 voucher from Boston Fine Fibres for fibre processing. The Voter's Prize has been awarded to Max Mathews. Max will receive a $75 voucher for product or fibre processing from Echo Beach Fibre Processing Mill. Congratulations to all! Meet our Product Judges Pam Jowett & Kathy Porta Pam Jowett - Pam lives in Albury and has been working with natural fibres for about 50 years. She has extensive experience in an array of crafts such as spinning, weaving, patchwork quilting, beading and macramé. Pam is a member of the Albury Wodonga Hand Weavers and Spinners Guild and has judged at many of the regional Ag Shows. Kathy Porta - Kathy lives at Yackandandah and has been knitting and crocheting for many years. She owns and breeds alpacas and uses the natural fibre to create her own beautiful product. Kathy is a member of the North East Alpaca Group and the Albury Wodonga Hand Weavers and Spinners Guild. Kathy is also a regular volunteer as an alpaca fleece steward at the Wodonga Show.
